Celebrate 4th of July in Woodstock

fourth of july car interiorSummer is officially here, and that means the 4th of July isn’t far behind. Next week the residents of Woodstock will gather their sparklers and celebrate the birth of this great nation. Families, friends, and neighbors will share festive remembrance of America’s liberty and peace (and our unassailable right to throw an awesome cookout) at 4th of July festivities across Cherokee County. If you still don’t have plans to celebrate, your friends at Towne Lake’s Carwash and Detail have gathered a list of the top 4 ways to celebrate the 4th of July in Woodstock.

4th of July Festivities in Woodstock

  1. Freedom Run. Do you have what it takes? Honor our country by participating in the Woodstock Freedom Run 5K. Runners, walkers, and kids of all ages are encouraged to participate. The race begins at 7:30am
  2. Woodstock Parade and Fireworks. When it comes to loving our country, Woodstock doesn’t mess around. The annual 4th of July parade kicks off at 10am. Stop by at The Park at City Center after the parade for food and eating contests, arts and crafts vendors, and live music. Woodstock is wrapping up the freedom events with a brilliant display of fireworks at dusk.
  3. Home by Dark. If fireworks aren’t your thing, you’ll want to check out the Home by Dark songwriters concert at Chukkar Farms. The gates open at 6:30. It’s BYO-BBQ, so make sure you pack plenty of food and refreshments.
  4. A private party. Don’t feel like fighting traffic to visit Woodstock’s festive 4th of July celebration? There’s nothing more American than a summer cookout! Honor our nation’s birthday (and enjoy some delicious food) by gathering your friends and family together for grilled burgers, backyard party games, and a bucketful of sparklers. Just don’t forget to research Georgia fireworks laws if you’re planning your own fireworks display.

Can’t wait to see fireworks burst across a clear night sky? Imaging those dazzling lights reflected in the smooth finish of a freshly waxed car! Get your car ready for the celebration by bringing it in for an auto detail at Towne Lake’s Carwash and Detail. You’ll be glad you did when your kids post “heading to the show” selfies on Facebook.
