Happy Thanksgiving, Woodstock!

thanksgiving road workThanksgiving week has arrived amidst a bustle of preparation, a sudden wave of cold weather, and the expected wall of holiday traffic. Many Woodstock residents are blessed with staying home for the holidays, while others are packing up their trunks and mapping out their road trips to places near and far. Some people are sprucing up their holiday ride at the local carwash while others make trips to the grocery store. Wherever you’re going and whoever’s company you’re enjoying this holiday season, don’t forget to slow down and cherish the food, family, and friends surrounding you this Thanksgiving.

Give thanks for your Woodstock community, your job and coworkers, and all the details it’s easy to forget in the rush of daily life. Bless someone else by unexpectedly cleaning their car, helping prepare the house for guests, or bringing a dish to Thanksgiving dinner. If you find yourself without plans, consider volunteering your time at a food drive or donations center. The residents of Woodstock have so much to be thankful for. Count your blessings and bless others in return.

Towne Lake’s Carwash and Detail will close on Thanksgiving in observation of the holiday. We’ll be back on Friday at noon, just in time for a post-shopping carwash. Happy Thanksgiving!
