How to Prepare for Summer Road Trips

With summer officially underway, chances are you probably have a summer road-trip planned with family or friends. Road trips can be a great time to try and see new things. Before getting started it is important that you have a game-plan before setting out on the open road.
Pack the right stuff – Forgetting to double-check the packing list is one of the biggest mistakes people make. A few items left behind here and there could really put a damper on your trip.
Plan your route wisely – Before hitting the road, make sure you have a game plan as to where you’re headed and any additional stops you want to make along the way. A little extra time upfront can save you a headache later.
Double check – Before hitting the road, double check you have any important tickets or confirmation numbers you may need on your trip. After you have hit the road, make sure someone calls the hotel and confirms your reservations if you are stopping somewhere overnight.
Think Outside the box – Is there anything you could bring in the car that would make it more enjoyable. A cooler of drinks? A bag of snacks? These both might be things to think about before hitting the road.
Keep someone in the loop– Before you get underway make sure you let a friend or neighbor know where you are traveling to and when you might be home. It is always a good idea for someone else to know just in case the worst might come along.
Once your trip is over, come see us at Towne Lake’s Carwash and Detail in Woodstock, GA to get your call all cleaned up from and bugs and dirt that accumulated during the road trip.
